There are more and more young and thin notebooks. Although they are very cool to use, they find it very difficult to upgrade when the storage space is not enough-either there is no extra space for expansion, or the original one needs to be replaced. It is a pity to re-purchase the hard disk and replace the old equipment. In fact, as long as you use a flash memory card or a U disk, you can expand without affecting the use of the computer.
Use a memory card to expand the storage space of the C drive. I especially want to recommend the TF/SD card, because many thin and light notebooks have their own TF card slot, and the memory card can be inserted into it without showing up, and it can expand the storage space.
After inserting the memory card, first back up the data inside, and the memory card will be reset. When resetting, right-click the Win icon (bottom left corner) and select the "Disk Management" item in the menu.
Enter Disk Management, find your memory card, be careful not to select the wrong one, right-click, and select "Delete Volume" in the pop-up menu.
Then right-click the unallocated memory card again, and select "New Simple Volume" from the menu.
Pay attention to the assignment of the drive letter and path in the wizard, click "mount a blank NTFS folder". Note, here is not the option to "assign a drive letter".
Click the browse button, select the root directory of the C drive, and then click "New Folder". The editor here is named TF, and you can set it according to your own situation. Note that in order to ensure maximum compatibility (character issues), it is recommended to set the English directory.
On the confirmation page, you can check whether your setting path is correct, and then click Finish.
At this time, open the root directory of the C drive, you can see a drive mapping shortcut named "TF", and in the Explorer, you can still see the drive letter of the USB drive (automatically assigned in order).
In this way, the capacity of the C drive is successfully expanded. For example, the copied file content can be stored in the mapped TF folder directory, or the installed software can also be stored in C:\TF, which is very convenient. However, it should be noted that the read and write life of flash memory card devices (including U disks) is definitely not as good as that of hard disks (whether mechanical or solid). Therefore, those applications that require frequent reading and writing should not be stored in the mapped folder of the flash memory card. .
